Flo Components Ltd.For Total Lube Solutions - Go With The Flo!

Bearing failure resulting from improper lubrication is a major cause of equipment downtime and significant unnecessary maintenance costs in today's environment. The majority of failures are caused by: contamination of bushings by dust, dirt and moisture; inadequate amounts of lubricant applied to bearings; or over-lubrication of key pivot points.

Direct costs resulting from inadequate lubrication can include: replacement bearings; labor to repair or replace bearings; lost time and its impact on customer service; or lost "on-road" time and replacement truck rental costs. Indirect, but very real costs include: wasted lube, environmental issues, safety or housekeeping issues, and higher labour costs related to inefficient manual lubrication practices.

On Road Lube Systems

Points serviced by Automatic Greasing Systems

Completely reliable and fully automatic, a FLO Autogreaser will increase your component life and overall productivity. The system dispenses small measured amounts of grease at frequent intervals while your equipment is operating, maintaining a consistent lubricant seal to prevent dirt and contaminants from migrating into bearings. It will help keep your rolling equipment out on the road making money and reduce your labor costs when compared to the traditional method of point-by-point manual lubrication.

Equipment stays on the road = Faster ROI

Less unplanned downtime = Increase profits

Increases life of critical wear points = Protect your investment

Fewer replacement parts to stock = Lowers operating cost

Uses your standard NLGI #2 in-shop grease = No inventory of higher-cost grease

FLO's installed Automated Lubrication System consists of a 12/24 VDC Series 203 pump, SSV positive displacement grease metering valves, fittings, tubing and hose. Pumps include an integrated adjustable timer for easy installation, trouble-free operation and maximum flexibility. Our automated greasing systems typically service your king pins, tie rods, steering drag link, slacks, shackle pins, spring pins, transmission cross shaft, brake shafts and fifth wheel if applicable. Optional monitoring will provide a warning light in your cab indicating reservoir low level and non-delivery of lubricant to your bearings. The FLO lubrication system is suitable for most off-the-shelf North American greases currently in your shop. It will handle lubricants up to an NLGI #2 rating to -25C or -13F.

Automatic Greasing Systems for Municipal VehiclesAutomatic Lubrication Systems for Commercial, Municipal & Construction

Municipalities, fleet operations and transportation companies are constantly under pressure to save money, increase productivity and make every investment in commercial vehicles last longer. FLO's ChassisLub Autogreaser System is ideal for all of your heavy-duty truck applications - liquid or bulk dry, shunt trucks, city delivery, regional or long haul. Large fleets can expect to save hundreds of thousands of dollars over the life of their equipment, by lowering costs and improving efficiencies.

FLO's Autogreasers are also routinely used on special purpose trucks, such as garbage, concrete, fire, buses, snow plows, street sweepers and vacuum. Points on these vehicles are often difficult to access and are subjected to dirty, wet environments. Adding further complexity, some have over 50 lubrication points. Your installed automatic greasing system lubricates during frequent turns, stops and starts, and promotes uptime and reliable performance as you work to meet tight deadlines.

Automatic Greasing Systems for Trailers

Automatic Lubrication Systems for Trailers

With a unique controller card that keeps track of the time a trailer is in use by monitoring its vibration, the QLS 321 delivers precise lubrication by using the power of your trailer's brake lights. It comes in 12 or 24VDC versions capable of servicing 6, 12 or 18 points. The QLS 321 works in temperatures from -10F to 158F. It handles high-pressure wash-downs with its NEMA 4 (USA) and IP6K9K (Europe) protection ratings.

A quad axle trailer has between 30-40 points of lubrication. Lubricating on a weekly basis takes between 2 - 3 hours based on shuttling the trailer to and from the lube bay combined with finding, reaching, cleaning the fitting and then actually lubing the point. This equals $2000 per unit per year in direct labor costs, plus the lost revenue time. And if a point fails due to lack of lubrication, associated downtime can easily exceed labour costs. On a typical Quad axle trailer, the FLO Automatic Lubrication System will service axle pivots, axle locks, slacks adjusters and brake shaft tubes. If the axles are on a truck, all the vehicle lube points are serviced from a single pump.
