Automatic Lubrication Systems For Industrial Machinery
FLO Automatic Lubrication Systems
Completely reliable and fully automatic, a FLO Lubrication System will increase overall productivity, and machine availability and utilization, while lowering on-going operating costs. The system dispenses small measured amounts of lubricant at frequent intervals while your production equipment is operating, maintaining a consistent lubricant seal to prevent dirt and contaminants from migrating into bearings. In addition, maintaining a flow of lubricant from inside the bearings outward, purges contaminants from the bearings. It will help keep your equipment up and running and making money, and reduce your labour costs when compared to the traditional method of point-by-point manual lubrication.
Increases life of critical wear points = Protect your investment
Reduces unplanned downtime = Increased profits & faster ROI
Fewer replacement parts to stock = Lowers operating cost
Increases plant automation = Lower operating cost
Uses your standard NLGI #2 in-shop grease = No inventory of higher-cost grease
Total Lube Solutions
No two industrial production lines have the same lubrication requirements. FLO Components applies over 40 years of lubrication expertise to create customized, automatic Lubrication Solutions that allow you to lower operating costs and increase productivity and ROI. FLO has designed Solutions for a wide range of applications including:
General Industrial – steel mills, injection molders, pulp & paper, production and assembly plants, integrated work cells, presses, stamping, printers and more.
Food & Beverage – bottling, canning, meat & poultry processing, bakeries, pharmaceuticals, and more.
Packaging – palletizers, stretch wrappers, labelers, air-bubble wrapping systems, flexible packaging systems, laminated packaging systems, stackers, carton formers and more.
Industrial Automated Lubrication Systems are available in a wide range of configurations. The correct Solution for your application will depend upon:
- Environmental Conditions – Temperature, Indoor vs. Outdoor, Dust, High Wash etc.
- Size of Machine
- Total Number and Type of Lubrication Points
- Bearing Workload – RPM, Stress, Weight, Vibration
- Type of Lubricant – Oil, Fluid Grease, High Viscosity Grease
- Power Available – Electric, Pneumatic, Hydraulic
- Physical space available on Machine
We will help you to select the type of lubrication system and the lubrication period that your equipment needs.
A pump moves lubricant to the many lubrication points one after another via progressive metering valves custom-sized for each series of points. The valves incorporate a series of metering pistons, which provide precise lubrication from each outlet. Lubricant delivery to bearings is monitored by the visual cycle indicator pin on the grease distribution block, which confirms a valve has completed a full cycle. These systems come in 24VDC or 268VAC versions. The systems are suitable for environments ranging from -25 to 70º C (-13 to 158º F) and operate with grease up to NLGI #2 or oil of at least 40 cSt.
Lincoln QLS Automatic Lubrication System
The QLS System is a relatively simple and inexpensive method of centralizing or automating the lubrication process. Capable of servicing 6, 12 or 18 points, this cost-effective “out-of-the-box” system includes an electric pump and progressive block-type metering valves. The system handles high-pressure wash-downs with its NEMA 4 (USA) and IP6K9K (Europe) protection ratings.
Lincoln Modular Lube® Automatic Lubrication System
The Modular Lube® system allows you to add or delete lubrication points without disturbing the primary installation. A system can be extended simply by removing a patented by-pass block and replacing it with a metering valve. The Modular Lube® has the closest piston-to-valve tolerances in the industry, virtually assuring a positive stall against blockages, every time.
The Centro-Matic® Lubrication System can service one machine, different zones on machines, or even several separate machines, and is ideal when the volume of lubricant varies for each point. Each injector serves only one lubrication point and may be accurately adjusted to deliver the precise amount of grease or oil required.
Each also incorporates an indicator pin for visual confirmation the injector is operating correctly, and is externally adjustable. Extra lubrication points can easily be added. For large systems, the powerful pumps allow you to locate injectors long distances from original refinery containers or bulk lubricant tanks.
